My sister, NIkki, was recently diagnosed w/ GBM 4. She had surgery on 1/6/10 and was diagnosed on 1/13/10. This is her second round with a brain tumor. In 1998 she had surgery to remove a Medula blastoma. After 7 wks of radiation, she was able to live a normal life. And now this...

The usual courses of chemo and radiaion have been reccomended. Prognosis, with treatment, is 9 - 14.2 mos. This is hard to fathom as Nikki is very active, mentally sharp and in general good health at 42 yrs old.

We are taking a serious look at Protocel as a treatment option. ... possibly on it's own, or in tandem with radiation. We would very much like to work with a ND locally to help out with administering the formula and trouble shooting some of the obstacles that we will have to endure... fevers... swelling in the brain... monitoring of progress... etc.
