I can certainly sympathize with admins over the spam problem and the announcement that we can no longer send private messages because of it. However, the fact is, I am still getting lots of spam. In fact I get regular email messages telling me that somebody is trying to leave a private message and my box is full. Can somebody in admin clarify this situation? Are the spammers' bots the only ones who can now send private messages? If they are still getting through, I'm wondering what purpose is served by not allowing the rest of us to send legitimate private messages.
